Letter from the Founder
Years ago, when I started Page & Pause Studios, it began as something deeply personal. It was a way for me to express myself visually to take the feelings, ideas, and quiet moments inside of me and turn them into something real. More than anything, I wanted to put something positive into the world. Something gentle. Something meaningful. Something that might stay with people long after they turned the final page.
One of the best pieces of advice I was ever given was this:
You will never truly go anywhere in life until you get out of yourself.
That stayed with me.
Over time, I began to understand what that really meant. Life becomes richer when it is no longer only about ambition, recognition, or even self-expression alone. It becomes deeper when you learn to care for others to notice them, encourage them, and create with them in mind. Not just caring for everyone in a broad and distant way, but caring especially for the people, moments, and emotions that truly inspire you and move you.
That spirit lives at the heart of Page & Pause Studios.
Every story, character, and visual world we create is rooted in the belief that art can comfort, uplift, and connect people. We believe stories can make children feel seen. We believe beauty matters. We believe gentleness is powerful. And we believe creativity should leave behind something good.
A strong influence on this vision comes from Japan.
Japanese art, storytelling, and design have long inspired me because they understand something I value deeply: that softness is not weakness, simplicity is not emptiness, and quiet moments can carry enormous emotional weight. In Japanese culture, there is often a deep respect for beauty, detail, atmosphere, and feeling the small things that are easy to overlook, yet somehow stay with you the longest. A drifting petal. A walk home at sunset. A handwritten note. A pause between words.
That influence has shaped Page & Pause Studios in countless ways.
It shapes how we approach visual storytelling with tenderness, intention, and care. It shapes the worlds we build worlds filled with wonder, kindness, imagination, and emotional honesty. And it shapes why we create in the first place: not simply to entertain, but to leave behind something heartfelt, memorable, and human.
At Page & Pause Studios, we want to create stories that feel like gifts. Stories that slow people down. Stories that spark joy, reflection, courage, and connection. Stories that remind us that there is still beauty in the world and that even the quietest voice can leave a lasting mark.
This is more than a studio.
It is a reflection of what moves me, what inspires me, and what I hope to give back.
Thank you for being here.
Thank you for turning the page with us.
